Illinois Webcams
Illinois is a state with great historical background and significance. It is enviously responsible for providing Presidents to US like Ronald Reagan, Ulysses S. Grant and, most notably, Barack Obama and Abraham Lincoln. This is why it is also named as the Land of Lincoln. As a tribute to the great American leader, the slogan honoring him has been adopted and has been displayed on the license plates. Illinois got the status of a state in the early 19th century. It was initially a heaven for agriculture and the farmers with the fertility and productivity of its farmlands. But gradually it turned itself into an equally productive industrial and manufacturing state as well. Several coal mines have also been unearthed in different regions of the state. Springfield is the state capital, however Chicago is the biggest, most populous and the most famous city by far, boasting great diversity and culture.Chicago
